Advanced Standing

You already have a bachelor's in social work.

Advanced Standing is awarded only to graduates holding degrees from baccalaureate social work programs accredited by CSWE, recognized through its International Social Work Degree Recognition and Evaluation Services, or covered under a memorandum of understanding with international social work accreditors.

Admissions requirements

Strong academic record
Demonstrated excellence in field internship
Completed online application
Completed Graduate School of Social Work supplemental application form
$60 non-refundable application fee (waived if you attend an open house)
Official undergraduate transcript sent from the issuing institution
One letter of reference from professors or employers (this can be completed within the online application)
Senior year field evaluation
Writing sample from a senior year practice course
A written personal statement discussing your motivation, interests, and goals for pursuing graduate social work studies
