Social Work Legislative Education Advocacy Day

Legislative Education and Advocacy Day (LEAD) is a yearly event for social work students from around the state. Food and Transport is provided for all Touro GSSW students and alumni who wish to attend.

6:30am - Bus leaves from outside of 27 W. 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010
3pm - Bus leaves Albany, returning to NYC around 6:30 pm

Register to participate in LEAD. Registration deadline for legislative appointments is Friday, February 16, 2018. Anyone registering beyond the deadline will automatically be grouped under the canvassing the floor activity.

The two issues we will be advocating for this year are:

- Social Work Investment Initiative (#InvestinSocialWork)
- Banning conversion therapy (#BornPerfect)
