Kalie Wolfinger, LCSW, is an Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Social Work. She is an experienced clinical social worker and educator. She specializes in complex trauma treatment, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care. Kalie has extensive experience working in high-acuity clinical environments, including emergency departments, inpatient psychiatry, and private practice. Her clinical expertise includes the treatment of PTSD, Complex PTSD, and dissociative disorders, with a specialized focus on supporting first responders and survivors of chronic trauma. Kalie’s background also includes significant work in hospital-based case management and behavioral health consultation. She has served in integrated care teams, delivering mental health services across medical, psychiatric, and outpatient settings.

A passionate educator, Kalie currently teaches in both BSW and MSW programs at multiple universities. Kalie brings a trauma-informed lens to the classroom, emphasizing experiential learning, reflective practice, and cultural humility. Kalie holds a Master of Social Work from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Social Work from Northern Arizona University. She is licensed in the state of Arizona and continues to engage in advanced clinical trainings to enhance her work with trauma survivors and high-risk populations.
